I’m an independent contractor based in Brooklyn, because I have a thing for exposed brick and cozy, local coffee shops. Because I work with small businesses, I get the chance to really know my clients – what makes them tick and how and why they should stand out in a crowded marketplace. This leads to marketing strategies and solutions tailored to each company’s unique needs and actual capacity.

I have an ongoing relationship creating and tackling marketing initiatives for the ultra-talented photo and film studios of Christopher Duggan Photography and Nel Shelby Productions. I also advise on systems and client relations, knowing that focus on great customer care is the key ingredient for any organization’s success. I write and present creative communications strategy for Bergen Street Strategy. CEO Lara Holliday is a brand genius with a social conscience and leads projects that increase fundraising potential through more impactful communications. Bergen Street clients I’ve consulted with to date include: iMentor, Lime Connect, Teach For America – New York, William T. I project managed website redesigns for Brooklyn Friends School, Brooklyn Ballet, Christopher Duggan Photography, Nel Shelby Productions, and I am currently ushering in new smart, responsive sites with Bergen Street Strategy, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival and Chris Walt Photography. For most of my website redesign projects, I also commit as lead copywriter and provide essential editorial and content marketing input.
I, too, used to have a daily commute.
In my pre-freelance days, I pitched dance stories to The New York Times as a PR professional. I survived tight grant proposal deadlines and shaped copy and storytelling for performance programs with Brooklyn Ballet. I met my partner Ben working coat check at a museum. I choreographed and produced my own dance performances. All of these experiences shape how I balance big picture with expertly planned, incremental progress.
